The SmartCar was built for this purpose, and it's at the owner's risk to his side panels to choose this parking option. This is completely legal, the car sticks out no farther than a large truck or SUV parallel parked, and takes up only 1/2 of a parking space.
Not only does this NOT qualify as Super Duper, it is quite the opposite, as there is one more space to park in somewhere on the road because of this driver's courtesy.

Definitely acquitted in the Court of Steele. There's an asshole on the street, but it's not him - someone left a half-a-car gap. The guy parked vertically simply has half-a-car. I'm surprised we don't see more of these cars in places like NY and DC...

The whole point of the design is that you can park in a small space like this. It's designed for our "kooky European cities" with our small roads and limited parking...

now come on you have to admite that is cleaver. and if he is not on the sidewalk (can't tell) then he is only a regular asshole not a superduper.
atleast thats my opinion. but I still would have the nerve to do it.

I think that car is called a smartbox, but the driver didn't live up to the name. "I bought a small car to park like this" was the logic.
